The It list

In order to curate the images i decided to exploring branding and advertising techniques. Many a time i notice that several brands advertise their products with images that have nothing or very little to do with the actual product. So in order to explore and display my research i decided to re-create the Vogue must buy list. The must buy list is a seasonal tabloid that is released with advertisements of things that the publication believes people must have. Using that as a platform i used the images as add templated and tried to combine them with ridiculous and funny tag lines and at the same time add them to actual prodcuts. For example i used an image of nuns playing cards while their robes innapropiately showed off their legs as an add for Veet hair removal.
I hope while glazing through and reading my project people will slowly pick up on the fact that even though there is humor in the project, none of the images have captions that are directly related to them. I hope for this project to expose the tricks and scams played by add and marketing companies.
